Yeah yeah I'm workin' on it sort of, maybe there were some distractions Uncommon ValorI played a lot of this. Many test games with quite a few different people. It is definitely ghetting more refined. The issue is in these games, most were with new people... so no vehicles. Then, I decided to build up a logging outpost to do some fighting with vehicles in Eastern Europe or something using my 3mm stuff. I did play a lot on there, too, but the vehicle rules are still in flux. However, there were a lot of big changes that have made the game way easier to play. Most of these were changes in terminology or how to read dice outcomes and stuff, which just streamlined everything. Same for how to use the morale system. It's all much more uniform-feeling now. So no, I didn't finish the vehicle rules. But the game is definitely in better shape than before. We also played in 3mm, 15mm and 28mm and everything works just fine. I also did a rules swap with somebody else who went through the book thoroughly, so it's definitely been tightened up overall. But no, the vehicle rules still aren't where I want them. Skies Far BeyondI have played the "two F-86s protecting a troop transport" scenario so many times now it's astonishing, but I have to concede it remains interesting. That's probably positive. There were a few big changes here based off feedback. The biggest thing was a simple tweak: it now requires more of a resource for players to perform a reaction, which has reduced the number of them that occur and subsequently sped up gameplay quite a bit. I was lucky that somebody offhand mentioned this, because it's been a big and important change. The combat is much deadlier now with pilots having much less opportunity to try to save themselves, and thinking ahead is far more valuable than diving into a furball and hoping you can weave around it now. I also went throught he rulebook and slashed and burned stuff that doesn't get much use, then reformatted it a bit (not too much!). It's down from 106 pages to 80. Not bad. A lot fo that is the two-column format, but whatever. Pages is pages. Goals for October/NovemberWell... this is easy.
